Our new Elders Insurance partnership supporting community-led climate solutions across regional Australia

We are pleased to share that Elders Insurance, through the support of the QBE Foundation, has secured a new partnership with the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal (FRRR) for the next three years.

The FRRR is a not-for-profit organisation, and the only national foundation specifically focused on ensuring the social and economic strength of remote, rural and regional communities. FRRR's unique model connects common purposes and investment with locally prioritised needs, to create communities that are vital and resilient. Since FRRR's start in 2000, it has delivered more than $177 million to more than 14,000 projects.

The FRRR host a program known as Community Led Climate Solutions (CLCS) which offers grants to not-for-profit organisations for initiatives that address climate change at a local level. Grants can be used by communities to educate locals and adopt clean energy practices; reduce emissions; implement low carbon power sources; embrace reuse and regenerative practices; support solutions that deliver sustainable agriculture and food systems; encourage biodiverse ecosystems; or activities designed to manage change and support the livelihoods of people reliant on industries in transition. Applications for the Community Led Climate Solutions open on the 1^st of August 2024.

This is an exciting partnership marking a significant step toward fostering sustainable communities across regional Australia and enabling a more resilient future. By supporting the FRRR's Community Led Climate Solutions program, we are not only investing in the future of these communities but also paving the way for innovative, community-driven climate solutions that will have a lasting impact on the social and economic strength of rural and remote regions.
